Rhizomes & Mycorrhizal Networks
July 25 + 28, 6-8pm ET
Mycorrhizal networks are underground networks of fungi that connect plants and transfer nutrients among them. These networks offer alternative ways of understanding the relational world, much like Deleuze and Guattari proposed with the figure of the rhizome. We will explore how the rhizome acts as a guide to relationality, and use examples of underground mycorrhizal networks to better understand relational materiality of our unseen and often unthought-of world.
