The local nature of TV broadcasting has shaped the general understanding of television history and programming. This course will expand that by exploring the distinct histories of national television industries around the globe and the industrial and cultural factors that allow programming to flow transnationally. Topics to be covered include public broadcasting in the UK, the cultural history of Netflix co-productions, and national identity through reality TV remakes.
When you purchase your course seat please also submit this Application Form. Your enrollment is not reserved unless the Application Form has been received. Thank you!
